My sister, RUTH (on the left!) had the GReAt idea to run a race called "The Mud Run" in New Harmony (just south of Cedar) -
and boy, was it a GOOD IDEA!!!!
We had a great time getting DoWn and DiRtY!!!
It was a 5K w/military style obstacles! They told us we would be running thru a "creek" - they must have meant RIVER!!!
This picture shows the most shallow part - it was almost knee deep!
Of course - what is a mud run w/out some logs that you have to go UNDER (notice the clearance is minimal under the log and between the muddy water!!) and OVER!!!

I wanted to have some fun so I pushed Ruth in the mud then ran!! he he just kidding - My MOM was the awesome photographer and ALL these pics were actually taken DURING the race -
This was the really DIRTY part!!!
We had to jump/climb/fall over 3 of these walls and they were 5 ft tall - this picture is so funny because I don't even remember seeing my Mom take the picture - but apparently I looked right at her!!!
We had a great time - so whoever wants to join us next year LET'S DO IT!!!
oh - and our girls team took FIRST PLACE!!!

You girls are amazing!! I would join you next year but then you wouldn't win first place. So I'll do the right thing and refrain from participating. Way to go Ruthie and Sarah!!
