So our boys were recently introduced to this movie - BATMAN!!! They are 3 and 5 yrs. old - IS THAT TOO YOUNG??!!!
I watch the movie and feel it is intense - they watch it w/me and LOOOOOVE everything Batman does! He gets the bad guy and they jump off couches running around w/their capes on screaming and yelling that they are batman and he "got the bad guy"!!
HMMMMM is the nature or nurture taking it's course?? Should I shield them from the movies or allow them while we watch together? Are they going to see things anyway or do I postpone it as long as possible??!! Maybe they're still so young that it's just about Batman and good winning over evil??!!! Basically, would you allow it??!!

It is my humble opinion that you should not be worried. As long as they are not scared or traumatized by it, and the movie itself is not violent or gory, then it's all good. On the other hand, I'm not even sure I'd let teenagers watch the most recent version (the one with Heath Ledger). That one gave ME nightmares!
I'm am trying to shield my girls as long as possible. So it might be scary movies for boys but for all the other girls on our street its Hannah Montana and High School Musical. I don't want my little girls obsessed with boys at age 6. It scares the crap out of me. But, everyone gets to choose. It's up to you I say.
yeah it's your choice...so good luck with that! if it were me I would probably wait a few more years to let my kids watch that, but at least they aren't traumatized by it!
