The kids loved all the dirt - I was fine with it too until they found the MUD!!!
So, we have a hole and now we have footings and the forms for the basement walls! Wow - life couldn't really be any more exciting!! Plus, we still have a TON of dirt - any takers??!! (We actually had to pay to have it hauled off because no one needed it!)

From all my years of home construction...I have to say that this point, where the basement starts to take shape, is my favorite stage of building. This is when it starts to feel "real". Congratulations! That is awesome!
Wow! I can't believe how fast things are getting going. Yesterday a hole, today a basement(somewhat). How exciting!
This is SO exciting!! Although, I thought you were already in a home. And I agree, you should have had a ground-breaking ceremony.
I could really use the dirt...will you pay me to come get it?
That is so exciting! I could definetely use some dirt, it would go great next to the fridge.
