The Grass is always Greener . . .

Well, the grass WAS always greener on the other side of us . . . because we DIDN'T even have grass!!!

But, that has changed - we now have some GREEN (for now!!!) grass!!!

First, we put in a sprinkler system so we wouldn't have to drag a hose around to water all this grass!!!

Then the sod came and we were lucky to have some GREAT friends who all jumped in and helped us lay 6,000 SQUARE FEET of GRASS!!!!! THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!

During the landscaping process, Brady decided to make a waterfall - this is the end product!! The peg in the background marks the border of our property - this is the back east corner! It's fun to listen to the waterfall - and the boys LOVE to throw rocks in it - until MOM comes and herds them away!!!

Strong work Brady!!!

Here are some MORE pictures of the grass - who couldv'e thought GRASS would be so much fun to photograph!!!

This is in the front yard looking West!

This is the East side of the house - notice the cute pumpkins the kids decorated for Halloween!!!

We decided to wait and do the curbing and bark in the spring - so just imagine it in for now!!!

Here is yet another view from the front - if you look really close you might notice some "hoodalums" by the porch - Halloween came a day early!!!

And when you have grass - you definitely need a MODEL to pose for you to show how comfortable a new lawn can be - Oh Sadie could hardly resist the job!!!!

Once again - this is in the front yard looking East!

And this is the backyard again - the waterfall is on the far left - the field in the back attracts a lot of deer so the kids love to watch for them!!

You did it!! This is the last picture of grass you have to see!! We actually put all this grass in 2 weeks ago and we were surprised it would stay so green in October?? But, it's still green and now it's almost NOVEMBER!!!

Wow, that looks really nice! I had no idea about the waterfall, that's awesome! And I swear Sadie looks so grown up! Of course, I'm not at all surprised she's posing, considering all the practicing she does. :) She's a cutie!

That's a lot of grass to mow also. Hey, I like your dog too. It must be nice not to have neighbors on all sides. You have a little open space. Just be careful if someone lights the grass on fire behind you.

TONS OF WORK!! But looks great. Now during the summer, and Brady's days off, he can mow lots of lawn! You will love it in the summer when you can let the kids outside to play and not bring in dirt/mud!
