Blessing Day and . . . more cows!!

On Aug. 4th we blessed Addison (2 months old that day!!) in Beaver! She was really good and didn't even cry and . . . they didn't drop her either!(that is always my fear!!!) Brady blessed her and we had almost everyone from each of our families there - THANKS everyone for coming!!

Before we headed home on Sunday, we stopped by Brady's family dairy - which they JUST sold and probably won't be there next time we go to Beaver. We decided to get out the camera and make some memories for us and the kids!!! This picture is of the big tank that the milk goes into - when we were first married - Brady LOVED to come and fill up a jug of "fresh" milk - eeewwww - it was warm and even creamy on the top!!! I just wanted to go to the store and buy it COLD and 1%!!!

These are the baby calves that they feed w/BIG bottles of milk OR they just let them suck on our son's foot for a while!!

If the calf is REALLY hungry then we just stick 2 more kids in there for lunch!! If you look really close in this picture (above) you can see the calf is STILL sucking on Reagan's foot!!!

This is back in the milking barn again - it must stink because Sadie kept plugging her nose??!! This picture was funny because Brady reached up to show the kids how to milk the cow - he pulled the udder and it squirted all over AYDEN!!! ha ha we were all laughing but he didn't think it was too funny!!!

Another funny thing is when the kids kept saying "it STINKS it STINKS" and Brady said "that's the SMELL of MONEY"!!! (Which he would always tell me when we went on the farm too w/those smelly cows!!)

Oh, I can't believe you sold the dairy farm! Isn't that kind of sad? I love all the pics though; you guys crack me up.

And p.s. do you have Carrie's awesome choc chip cookie recipe? Because I would really love to have it.

That is a little sad about the selling of the farm. When you said that it might not be there next time you go, are the new owners going to tear it down?

Progress isn't always a happy thing.

The cows are all sold and will be moved, but the building will stay -it will just be empty and stinky!!

How fun! Ya lots of memories and scrubbing done at the good 'ol barn. I had more than my fair share of cleaning the barn. Jaeley still hasn't got to go to the barn,(Uncle Brady, you were going to take her with you!) but Dad keeps reassuring her that they will be there a few more days. - I LOVE Addi's pictures! Where did you get them done? I love the feet/hands picture! One to truely treasure.

haha that was pretty funny! That's too bad that they sold their dairy! I'm glad we were able to get together for the baby blessing, also!
